Clean driving’s future is at the Mitsubishi display of the Cleveland Auto Show — the electric 2012 Mitsubishi i.

Fuel is a thing of the past thanks to its lithium-ion batteries housed within a remarkably sturdy and waterproof stainless-steel safety cell. The engine is placed just forward of the rear axle and behind the rear seat. It reaches a top speed of 80 mph.
It looks small on the outside, but inside it’s roomier than previous overseas markets. It comfortably fits four.  2012 Mitsubishi i electric vehicle has scored first-place honors on the EPA’s list of “Fuel Economy Leaders: 2012 Model Year” in the governmental agency’s annual Fuel Economy Guide thanks to its EPA-rated 112 combined/126 city/99 highway MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent).The vehicle’s batteries can be recharged in approximately 22 hours.
